Mountain Brook Youth Wrestling Winter 2023-24  Boys Grade K-6   

We are excited to announce Coach Rustem Kilic ("Coach K") and Coach Ricky Korn ("Coach Ricky") will be leading this season's youth wrestling team.  Rustem and Ricky have led the MB youth wrestling program in years past and we're fortunate to have them working together this season.

Coach K is an accomplished assistant coach for Mountain Brook High School Spartan Wrestling Team which won an Alabama State Duals Championship last season.  He has over 16 years of wrestling experience, with the last four coaching at MBHS.  Coach K is passionate about the MB Youth program and the development of championship-caliber wrestlers.  He is also committed to teaching discipline, personal accountability, and sportsmanship.      

Coach Ricky is an exceptional youth wrestling coach who previously served as the head youth wrestling coach for the MB Youth Program from 2018 until 2021.  He has coached many state champion wrestlers, multiple national champion wrestlers, and a world team silver medalist.  Coach Ricky is committed to the development of our you as both athletes and young men.     

Season Duration:  November 6, 2023 through February 10, 2024 

Regular practices will be held at the MBHS wrestling room on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30-6:30 PM.  Advanced practices are also at MBHS on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 6:30-8:00.  

The first practice will be on Monday Nov. 6th.  If you are uncertain if your child will like wrestling, please bring them to the first few practices before making a commitment. 

Cost:  $200 per wrestler 

Note:  Additional costs may include AYWO registration cards, tournament fees, singlets, shoes, and gear.
