Summer Flag Football 2025 - Summer 2025

Summer 2025 Flag Football is for those entering 2nd - 4th grades for the upcoming 2025-26 school year.

Please register in the grade that your player will be entering for the 2025-26 school year.

Season will run from Week of July 7th – Week of August 4th.  Games will be played during the week mainly on Tue.’s & Thu.’s at Crestline or MBE.  Weekday game times are scheduled at 5:30 or later.  Grades will be grouped according to participation levels in each grade.  Emphasis will be on participation, throwing, and catching. 

Flag football will be structured so those children participating in other activities could still participate in football.  For instance, there would be enough boys on each team to enable boys to miss a game due to other sports activities, camp, lake, beach, vacation, etc…

Cost: $95

Tackle Football - 2025 - Fall 2025

Tackle Football with MBA is for 3rd-6th graders. The season runs from mid-late August until late October/early November.

Mandatory Player Weigh-In/Jersey Fitting -  August 9 and 10 (come to only 1 of the 2 dates).

Mandatory Player Evaluations - August 11 and 12 (Players must attend both dates)

Guardian helmet covers (Provided by MBA) will be worn for all practices and games.

Selection of teams will be made and players will be notified by August 16th. Team practices can begin when the commissioner gives the okay.

Practices and scrimmages will be up to a maximum of ninety minutes in length. Players must bring their own water/hydration to practices. Teams may practice from August 17th - September 5th with a maximum of three events per week including games. After the first game, each team will be limited to three events per week unless that number is modified by MBA. Practices are scheduled by the coaches and they will have the freedom to schedule practices on Saturday or Sunday, though most practices will take place Monday-Friday.

The league will play at either Crestline Elementary, Mountain Brook Elementary, MBHS Spartan Stadium, MBHS Baseball field, MBJH, or the JCC. Games will be during the week and on Saturdays. There will be a Super Bowl in all four (4) leagues to complete the season. In all leagues (Except Flag Football) there will be a playoff to determine the Super Bowl participants.

Presentational Cheerleading - 2025 visual

Cheerleading - 2025 - Fall 2025

Junior Spartan Cheerleading is a youth program for all girls entering 2nd-6th grades. For a description of this year's offering, please visit "About Cheerleading" listed under Programs at the top of our website homepage.

We have designed a new, better fitting, more comfortable cheerleading uniform this year. Cost of a new uniform is in addition to the cheerleading registration fee. If you want to order a uniform, please order from Over The Mountain Sporting Goods in Crestline using the link below. There are samples at the store in Crestline if you are unsure of your child's size. We offered two tank options. Either is fine; just choose what fits better/which material your child prefers. All orders must be made through the cheer store. Buying a new uniform is not mandatory. You are welcome to wear the same uniform as last year. Be sure to check the store out as there are lots of cute offerings this year! Orders must be received by July 27th to ensure that the uniforms arrive on time for the start of the season.

We will have a cheer clinic before the season starts. This will be done by grade levels and the Mountain Brook cheerleaders will help with this. Specific dates & times will be sent out as we get closer to the clinic.  

Football season will run from mid-Aug. until end of Oct./early Nov.

Each squad will need a cheer mom. Please register if you are interested!

Fall Baseball - 2025 - Fall 2025

Season: Practices are tentatively scheduled to begin week of August 18th.  First games are scheduled for Sunday, September 7th. Games for 1st-6th grades will tentatively conclude the week of October 12th. Pre-K and K leagues will generally have games in that time frame as well.

Leagues:

Pre-K -- T-ball

K -- coach pitch

1st grade -- coach pitch

2nd grade -- coach pitch

3rd & 4th grade -- player pitch

5th & 6th grade -- player pitch

Teams:

The numbers of players will determine the number of teams for each league.

Games:

Each team will play approximately seven games (Pre-K and K will play less). Games will be held primarily on Sunday afternoons with the exception of a few Tuesday/Thursday games. 1st-4th games will have a one hour and fifteen minute time limit (5th and 6th grade will be one hour and a half). All 1st-6th grade games will be held at the MBHS Athletic Complex. Plan is to play the K games at the MBHS Athletic Complex also.  Pre-K T-Ball games will be played at Cherokee Bend.

Practices:

Practices will be held once a week at the MBHS Athletic Complex with most practices being on Tuesday or Thursday for grades 1st-6th. Pre-K and K practice location and practice day TBA.

Fall baseball will be strictly a recreational league with an emphasis placed on building skills. No individual statistics or team standings will be kept. Players will receive a jersey and a hat to keep.

Fee - $125 1st-6th, $110 Pre-K & K

Season:

Practices will begin in late Aug. First games will likely begin in mid-Sept. Games are scheduled to finish around the end of Oct.

Leagues:

K & 1st grade (6U) - Coach pitch 

1st - 3rd grades (8U) - Coach pitch

3rd - 5th grades (10U) - Player pitch

5th - 7th grades (13U) - Player pitch

Games:

Five to seven games held primarily on Sun. afternoons with a one hour & fifteen minute time limit. Games will be played at MBHS and possibly at other parks (Vestavia, etc...)

Practices:

Practices will be held mainly during the week.  Practice days and times are TBA and may vary.  All practices will be held at the MBHS Athletic Complex.  

 Fall softball will be a recreational league with an emphasis placed on building skills. No individual statistics or team standings will be kept. Players will receive a jersey and a pair of socks to keep.

When registering, please be sure to fill out the question when asked if your player has any practice conflicts. Once your child is placed on a team, we will not switch them.

Presentational Volleyball - 2025 visual

Volleyball - 2025 - Fall 2025

MBA Volleyball is for 4th, 5th, and 6th graders. The grades are separated into different leagues. 

Season will begin week of August 17th and run through October 5th. There are typically 8 - 10 players on a team. Teams are selected based on random draws and skill level only.

With the exception of the end-of-season tournament, games will normally be played on Sunday afternoons in the MBHS old gym at times ranging from 2:00pm - 6:00pm.

Practices:  For 6th grade will be offered on Mondays ONLY (so doesn't conflict with ballroom) at either 6:00pm - 7:00pm or 7:15pm - 8:15pm. For 5th grade, Tuesday OR Wednesday evenings from 7:15pm - 8:15pm. For 4th grade, Tuesday OR Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm - 7:00pm. Each team will practice once a week at a set time each week and a game on Sunday. All regular events will be held at the MBHS old gym. If you have a conflict with a practice day, please note it on your registration. No guarantees will be made regarding the conflict. Practices will be led by a college-level volleyball athlete. Each player will be required to bring their own Volley-lite volleyball.

Parents, please consider being a coach, even if you have little to no experience with volleyball. All practices are run by a hired volleyball professional and parent coaches are at practices for support. Parent coaches will coach their team on Sunday games and be responsible for communications as needed. 

It is our intent that this be a recreational endeavor, with more emphasis placed on exercise, skill improvement, and fun than on records, wins, and losses. We believe that volleyball is an ideal sport at the beginner and intermediate levels to foster these goals.
